Dragon 1/48 Ju 88G-6
At some stage during the entry to service of the Ju 88G series the Germans thought that it would be advantageous to hide the development of new aircraft types with a silhouetted camouflage depicting the C version tail. The effectiveness of the paintwork during night operations is unknown.
Excellent job on the challenging Dragon kit, Rafi!
Painting and weathering are fantastic as always!
Thank you Spiros!
A very nice build, Rafi @blackmopane
Not sure either about the effectiveness either of this 'hiding'.
Well done.
Thank you John.
Nice work on as "difficult kit" - great paintwork.
Thank you Tom.
Lovely build Rafi. I have not got round to building my Dragon 88's because of the known fit issues. But we love a challenge and you have done a super job.
Thank you Guy!
Well done. Paint job is great...especially like the look of the upper color.
Thank you Gary.
G'day Rafi (@blackmopane),
Nicely done.
As for this being a difficult kit, I built one of these back in 2009.
As I recall, the main issues were with the wing tips and cockpit to fuselage join.
Nothing that can't be handled with a little fore warning.
You have delt with them flawlessly.
Liked!
Thank you Michael.
Cockpit frame is also problematic.
Inspiring build!
G'day Rafi (@blackmopane),
Ditto.
Excellent build and finishing. False tail paint came out perfect.
Thank you John!
Amazing looking JU88, Rafi.
That false tail paint looks real nice, as does the whole build.
Thank you George!
Well done, love the paintwork!
Thank you Chas!
Well done. I really like these fading Luftwaffe camos. And you just nail it.
Thank you Jarmo.
Looks great! I'd seen images of that "camouflauge" treatment and always wondered about the efficacy of it.
Thank you Greg!
It was not the only Junkers to have the false variant paintwork. So, it must have had an advantage from the German's point of view.
Nice work, Rafi.
Thank you John.
