The final countdown A6M2 Zero attack diorama. Airfix kit 1/72 scale
A scene from one of my favourite movies. I used the Airfix mitsubishi zero in 1/72 scale, I scratch built the boat myself, the water is from vallejo and as you can see I did led lights to highlight the effect of the explosion
Awesome diorama! Full of action and drama. The Zeroes are nicely built, Norbert @norbivarium. How did you open the canopies?
Thanks! the canopy is in one piece in the airfix, I had to cut it into three parts, I used an ultra smooth saw
Fantastic build, I've never seen better rendering of explosions. Congratulations!
I am glad you like it, thank you!
This is an amazing diorama, Norbert @norbivarium
All elements are very realistic, especially the explosion and the surrounding debris is beautifully done.

Great diorama Norbert, wonderful representation of the scene from the movie. It too is one of my favorite movies that just doesn't seem to get much air time. I haven't seen it in years.
Thank you!
