Inspired by the HAF Aegean blue F-4 (1/32)
Inspired by the HAF Aegean blue F-4 (1/32), I repainted my work in 2022 (the last picture).
Watermelon Skin Phase: (the 2nd last pic)
In the past, I was more straightforward in my approach, so after completing one phase, I would stop, making the result seem stiff. Recently, I've learned this is a phase of mixing Ying and Yang, where soft and hard lines blend. It may take going back and forth three to four times before deciding on the final form.
This Aegean blue model looks stunning in sunlight. While reworking the rendering, I found that the modeling process reminded me of my hiking hobby: the journey is what I cherish most, and the outcome is necessary but not the ultimate goal.
Two weeks ago, I captured some photos early in the morning and finished the composition, wrapping up a fulfilling weekend.
Amazing paintwork.
Excellent build, Alex @superdad1688
That first picture with the clouded background looks really good.
Excellent paitwork, Alex!
Yes, I agree, amazing paintwork Alex (@superdad1688). The technique of doing this is amazing enough, but even more so, is having the vision of the final product to pull this off. I'm afraid my skills in this area tend more towards more technical finishes, making seriously cool paint jobs like this a "Wish I could Do That" type of scenario.
That is one amazing looking build! Congratulation!
Nice looking well weathered Phantastic Phantom, pilot looks cool too.
Yep - love this! I'm a Phantom Phan, especially of the Hellenic schemes. I'd love to know more about your technique and the products you use to achieve the weathering...
