Nakajima Ki.84 Frank 1/32
Sorry. Put this in the wrong place and tried to delete it. Seems that didn't work. Should have been in Works in Progress - Aircraft. I have had almost no time for modelling this year, but have returned to some shelved projects recently to get back into the hobby. Here is one I have not posted any pictures of yet, although I have done a lot of work on it already. I decided to use limited photo-etch on the interior for this build. I used the etch seat from the Eduard set with some details for the floor and throttle quadrants.
Did work on wiring the engine as well
Finally, I riveted the entire model top and bottom, using detailed scale plans.,
The last photos show masks applied for the yellow ID panels on the leading and trailing edges of the wings and the preliminary shapes for lightning strike markings for 50th Sentai based in Cambodia. No decals available for these markings so I will have to make my own masks.
A very nice looking model
Thanks, George! Any idea how I can move the article to the right place? I kind of hate to delete it entirely, even though I tried with no effect.
Perhaps Martin @editor can move it for you. If not, let it ride
Thanks for the feedback. I rebuilt the article in the correct place in case it finally gets deleted. I will continue it from there.
Excellent progress, Colin!
Thanks, Spiros.
Very nice work already done, Colin @coling
Thanks, John.
See, Colin, it IS like riding a bicycle! 🙂
Very nice work on this.
Thanks, Tom. I was able to pick up where I left off in every way except the article posting process.
This is really top notch work Colin! Your attention to detail and skill is truly impressive. Keep pressing on, looking forward to the final result!
On a side note, I posted something in the wrong place as well a few weeks ago and tried multiple times to delete it with no luck either. I wonder why that is? Either way, regardless of where your post is on the site, I'm glad I saw it this morning because what your working on is fantastic
Thank you, David. I really appreciate your encouragement . Good to know that the article has some positive appeal even in the wrong place. I always come to iModeler to get some inspiration from the fine work here, especially when I run out of gumption temporarily.
