"American Samurai" – F-15J Eagle, 1/72
Hi folks,
I finally managed to finish something: The amazing F-15J Eagle from Fine Molds in 1/72 scale.
I used Kris Sieber's "Ink" weathering method, because his F-15 build really inspired me.
Additionally, I...
- scratch built the avionic bay, parts of the canopy frame (underside), JHMCS sensor, nozzle covers, etc..
- added an F100 engine plus trailer
- used DXM decals, ResKit wheels, Def model nozzles, various photo etched parts from Eduard
Enjoy! I hope you like it!
Bernd
That's a masterpiece.
I really enjoyed building Fine Molds F-15. The engineering is amazing especially how they fit the nose to the rest of the fuselage to keep structural integrity. (I've built the Hase 1/48 Eagle which is a nice kit except the horrible nose/fuselage butt join that plagues Hasegawa's entire series of teen fighters in that scale.)
That's a fine looking Eagle, Bernd @bernd_ebeling
Excellent work on all those details.
Gorgeus work! Nice build on a great 1/72 kit!

Absolutely wonderful result, Bernd!
Congratulations!
Brilliant work!
Thank you very much to all of you!
Beautiful F-15 - the paint and weathering is especially nice! Happy New Year!
