Revell 1/32, Focke-Wulf FW-190A-8/R-2 "Sturmbock"

January 6, 2025 · in Aviation · · 13 · 228

Focke-Wulf A-8/R-2 "Sturmbock", WkNo. 682204, 5th/JG 300, Löbnitz, October 1944.

Quite well worn FW-190 "Sturmbock" from late 1944. The Sturmbock version was specially designed to fight the american bombers and had 30mm cannons in the wings, as well as an additional armor.

Painted mainly with Vallejo Model Air acrylics (Light Green RLM 82 mixed by myself, since I was not happy with Vallejo color tone). Weathering done with Tamiya, AK and Mig products.

Upgraded with HGW accessories for riveting (meant for Hasegawa FW) and seat belts. Also spark plug wires and brake lines added.

  11. That is one beautiful 190! The paint and weathering are fantastic. What is that line on the port side tail - looks like a welding bead line? I've never seen that...
