Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, Aoshima, 1/24

March 11, 2025 · in Automotive · · 13 · 147

Unveiled at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, only 20 examples of the ultra light Sesto Elemento were produced, each priced at 1.8 million Euros.

It’s a limited edition masterpiece of carbon fibre technology with a kerb weight of 999 kg (2,202 lbs).

The 5.2 litre V10 from the Gallardo unleashes 570 CV, with a power to weight ratio of 1.75 kg/cv.

The all wheel drive system gives the Sesto Elemento acceleration from 0 - 100 km/hr (0 - 62 mph) in 2.5 seconds, with a top speed of 300 km/hr (187.5 mph).

The interior is minimalist, devoid of any of the creature comforts normally found in a road car, only the steering wheel, digital speedometer, and just a few controls inhabit the cockpit. The cushioning is fixed directly to the bodywork frame to form seats.

You should never see a Sesto Elemento on the road because none of them are street legal. It’s a car born solely for the track.

Paints used are Tamiya TS-100 semi gloss bright gun metal, and metallic red made by using a base coat of silver with a top coat of clear red.

I’ve drove this car many times on my driving sim. Would love a go in the real one, although that will never happen!
