Originally, the TBF in the service of the British Navy was called Tarpon. By the time the TBM entered the service, the American term; was adopted.
The two models demonstrate that, which ever camouflage scheme is applied, AMs mold still shines.

  5. Wonderful - love both schemes. I've never seen the scheme with the black - what was the purpose/history behind that? Yes - I'm gonna have to do one like that - I just love unusual schemes...
