Thanks so much.
Excellent model, Paul!
Thank you mate. 🙂
A fine looking 215, Paul @paulwoodyvanacker
The splinter camouflage and the lower side mottling looks really good.
Thanks mate.
Great build!
Thank you.
Stellar! I really like this. Looks like a nice kit with an excellent result!
Thank you. 🙂
Beautiful work, Paul, and a very colorful unit insignia well printed by Xtradecals and very neatly applied by you. Congratulations!
Thank you. 🙂
Nice work on an interesting subject. Weren’t 215s manufactured for export but then taken over by the Luftwaffe?
They were a development of the Do17Z. Very similar in many ways. The easiest difference being the DB601 inline engines. It was developed for the Luftwaffe from the outset, but some were sold to other countries including Hungary. Some were headed for the Netherlands but that didn't eventuate.
There is a decal sheet with several Dutch potential colour schemes which I looked at, but didn't go with as I prefer to do true to life markings. Pity, it looked good. LOL
G’day Paul (@paulwoodyvanacker),
Great build and attention to detail.
The Luftwaffe Classics book is probably the definative reference and a great read.
I need to get one of these kits…
Liked!
Thank you.
You won't be disappointed. It's a great kit. 🙂
Very nice! That mottling on the underside is definitely an interesting touch - I hadn't seen that before.
Thank you.
I'm not really sure why they thought it would be worth doing, but I'm glad they did. 🙂
Beautiful Dornier, you really did a good job with it.
Thank you. Much appreciated.
