Telford kit news – Airfix 1/72 Phantom preview
in time for Christmas, Airfix will be releasing the Phantom FG.1 in 72nd scale. The built-up kit shows not only the typical extended front landing gear used for carrier operations, but also a bunch of stencils and a nicely detailed cockpit.
Even though 72nd scale is outta my "comfort zone", this just might be a 'must have' for my Phantom collection.
Come on Craig !We both know that that the Spey engined Phantom IS the one true F-4 ! No " might be" about it! I need at least a dozen - which will if course include the (hopefully to follow soon) RAF 's FGR 2 version!.1/72 works fine for me - I can get lots more in!. Hope Airfix can also give us a J-79 powered version as well.
How do you find the Phantoms? [J-79 powered], you follow the smoke trails.
