Hasegawa 1/48 Curtiss P-40K Warhawk Soviet Airforce/VVS
And another one finshed.
Hasegawa kit with Authentic Decals, AK Real Color AMT-7 and AMT-11, EZ Line for antenna wires and brake lines, Eduard seatbelts
The model shows an aircraft of the 760th fighter regiment, 261st composite division in Karelia winter 1943-44.
Noice.
Superb results. Weathering not overstated but complete with the worn look. That's typically what I aim for, perhaps why I like it so much! Also, a different sort of "flying tiger".
Is the IP painted? Looks great!
Thank you! Used the kit decals for the instruments.
Very nice indeed, sober but with all the right ingredients to make it interesting to behold. I have read that Hasegawa P-40 had some sort of deadly fault in its shape, but my inexperienced P-40 eye, they look the part.
One question about the decals if I may, any problems with colour/sharpness or applying them?
Thanks a lot! The decals looked and worked ok, no problems. Only thing is they are thin and you have to be careful, tend to wrap
Very nice finish and unusual markings.
That's a fine looking P-40K Reinhard. I'm especially fond of P-40's and you have done an excellent job on this one. I like it.
Well done, Reinhard, the weathering is just perfect. Bravo!
A real beauty - love the weathering, especially the exhaust staining.
Great looking model and love the markings
