The new 1/32 Zoukei-Mura Hs-129

December 11, 2019 · in Aviation · · 7 · 4.9K

Finished this a couple of months ago. My build will be featured in the upcoming Concept Note for this kit. It's the usual superb Z-M quality with a tremendous amount of detail and precision fit. I painted it in an Eastern Front color scheme instead of the typical North African one you see most commonly. The crosses on the wings are painted using homemade masks and I used placard and instrument decals in the cockpit and engine nacelles. Paint was Mission Models throughout and weathering was done by various methods. I used seversal different Mig panel line washes depending on the effect and colors underneath.

  1. Fantastic work George ! This one would look right at home next to your Horten 229 at the Smithsonian... It's that good. The ZM Dornier 335 you recently posted turned out exceptionally nice too. You could have all 3 of them sitting side by side there in the museum.

  2. Thanks, Louis. That would be nice!

  3. First one I see built, and itโ€™s a gorgeous model indeed. Almost tempt me to venture in that scale, but the size of the model and the size of my wallet are not compatible ๐Ÿ™‚
Also think the half painted white distemper is extremely realistic, super work

  4. Nice job, George! Paint scheme and weathering are well done.

  5. It's a beauty - love the selection of scheme, and the execution of the well-worn winter camo. Well done!
