Royal Thai Air Force F-16B from the 1/48 Hasegawa kit + extras.
This is the 1/48 Hasegawa F-16D Night Falcon kit built as a Royal Thai Air Force F-16B. It depicts a jet before they went through their MLU program and got some additional aerials and strengthening plates amongst other things.
Decals are from Siam Scale, the Mk.82's are from the Hasegawa weapons set, ladder is Aerobonus, the ground power/comms panel on the right side of the intake is Verlinden and seats are from Quickboost. I made the intake and exhaust plugs from sheet card and epoxy putty.
This one was a shelf queen for a while but a surge of motivation over the last few months saw it get over the line a few weeks before completing the P-40. Not as much fun to build as the P-40 but a lot of fun to paint and weather.
Beautiful job and good photography.
Thanks Don.
Good looking Viper! Nice pre-shading/mottling. Well done.
Thanks Greg, though there's no pre-shading on this one. It's all done with layers of various shades of paint!
Nice job! I like how you made the monotone scheme not looking boring, nice shading and weathering!
Thanks Reinhard.
Hello Michael,
Crisp finish in very convincing color scheme.
Also compliments on your photographic skills.
Regards, Dirk / The Netherlands.
Thanks Dirk. Photography is one of my other interests.
I like the realistic paint work very much. Nice result!
Didn't know the Thais have lawn darts too, but then, doesn't everyone?
Thanks Tom. Just about everyone has a lawn dart. They were even a remote possibility for the RAAF many moons ago.
Very nice and a motivation for me to finish my hase 48 C block 25. Thanks!
