Tanagra 114 Combat Wing end of August 1981…
Tanagra, 114 Combat Wing, end of August 1981. The Mirage F1cg, No. 110 after 26 days of maintenance work, for its 1500 flight hours on its assets, was now ready for the test flight. At 11.00 am. the test pilot came and after doing the external inspection together with the team inspector, signed the receipt and started the take-off procedures. After about ten minutes, the team inspector and the me watched a magnificent take-off at a great angle, followed by the quiet and anxiety of waiting for his return. The two men sat in the shade of F-102 no 61039 and for about an hour the test was held by the experienced team inspector narrating old good stories about F-102 and Mirage F1cg. The silence on the track was interrupted by a deafening noise and the speedy passing of 110 over the runway, a sign of a successful test. It was followed by landing, taxiing and finally parking where it started. The test pilot signed on for "all good" and Mirage was now ready to re-enter in 342 Squadron for service.
I have tried to portray this scene from the past with this diorama that I hope you find interesting.
Some of its components such as tractor, generator, tow bar, and ladder and other small objects were build from scratch.
Great diorama work on all those vehicles and other gear. Those photos look like the real things. Fantastic results.
Fantastic job!
Stunning work! You are a great talent in scratch building! Congratulations.
Η Ελλάδα είναι η πιο όμορφη χώρα στον κόσμο!
