F-117 1/144 [Dragon+2x Shelf Oddity]

December 15, 2020 · in Aviation · · 5 · 2.6K

Hello everyone!
There is a locked subject somewhere in dungeons of kampfgruppe144 forum where I enthusiastically begin this kit. 2014? There was this idea on the way of adding photoetched details to it. So instead of quick build it became prototyping tool for one of initial Shelf Oddity releases. Same for the decals, as there is usually more happening on the -117 than only insignia and the color is only the beginning of painting process. This inevitably led to material fatigue, and the was lingering on WIP shelf for quite long.

Prototyping aspect of the model can be noted by comparing left and right main undercarriage doors. There are two types of the doors and I am here in my laziest by doing only one of each type.
Main u/c wheels have been replaced by resin bits - the kit wheels are twice the required thickness.
