Italeri 1/32 F104C Starfighter

February 19, 2020 · in Aviation · · 13 · 2.4K

This is my take on the F104C as it may have looked while operating out of Udorn, Thailand circa 1967.
I did add a resin cockpit and seat plus resin afterburner/exhaust . Kit decals were used and they were excellent.

  1. Beautiful in SEA camo. A few F-104's lately and all well done. And in a variety of schemes. Seldom see the F-104 in this. Well done paint work. I am going to assume freehand? Good pics also. Thanks for sharing one of my favorite century series fighters, well done Mark.

  2. Thanks for the kind words Chuck.
    Appreciated.

  3. Starfighter is seldom seen in SEA camou so well done on you. It must have taken a bit of time to paint it due to its size? Amazing they took a Mach 2 fighter and hung two lousy bombs underneath. Remember lusting fof Escis take on it in early 80s, for some reason i remember exactly how i was peering into the box looking at Vulcan gun and refuelling probe.

  4. Good to see a Starfighter in camouflage, it looks great, must be impressive in this scale.

  5. A real beauty - love the worn look you achieved on the SEA scheme! Very realistic. Excellent!

  6. Nicely done Mark especially that SEA camo paint job.

  7. Hey there Mark, a very nice build indeed Buddy, looks like the real thing, well done.
