1/32 Scale MB 326 Scratch Build Part 8
Time for another update, nearing the finish line on this build, needless to say I really enjoyed it very much, from making the molds and the entire build, it went together fantastic, like an out of the box build... You will notice that I made the back seat interchangeable with a diesel smoke tank, this was installed in the aircraft for smoke during air shows. This build was entirely scratch built...
You will also see the Impala posing with another iconic trainer of the South African Airforce, namely the T6, and with the Mirage F1, also a scratch build in 32nd scale.
Hope you enjoy the pictures, the last post will be with the decals on, they are being custom made for me.
Now for the single seat variant...
Cheers, and keep safe during these trying times
Marc
Marc, you really do a fantastic job. The best part of it, for me, is that you enjoy it so much, and it shows!
Congratulations!
P.S. An 1/32 amazing F-1? In those great colors? Congratulations again!
I only do scratch building now, after many years of building kits, I decided to start scratch building, I have loved every minute of it, I have not bought a model kit in the last 5 years.
Thanks for your kind comment.
Great build Marc, just waiting for the finishing touches !
Thanks for the comment Al, yes, the decals are being custom made as we speak.
Looking good, like Allan I am eager to see the finished model.
Thanks Haslam.
As usual Marc you have delivered a museum quality masterpiece. Well done!
Thanks for the comment
Outstanding work!
Thanks Dion.
Stunning as usual!
Hey Greg, thanks for the comment buddy.
As above, great work!
Thanks for the comment Rob.
Hello Marc, @marc
This latest installment is nothing less than spectacular. I'll bet you can't wait for the decals to come in. I am amazed at every one of your scratch builds, as they look like you took a main stream kit and super detailed them. This one is already a masterpiece and it's not even completed yet.
What thickness plastic sheeting do you use to pull your parts from ?
Or does it vary depending on what you are making at the time ?
Take care my friend, as I think we might be headed for a "round two" with this virus. As the restrictions are loosening up, many people over here are forgetting what they just learned, not practicing social distancing, and in worse cases not wearing masks or washing their hands as they should.
Stay safe.
Hey Louis, thanks for the comment, the plastic I use is a polystyrene plastic, 0.75 mm thick, this makes the parts fairly rigid after vac forming, gives me a little meat for sanding.
Things are fairly tight here in South Africa as well, the infections seem to be climbing quite rapidly, scary times buddy, keep you and the family safe my friend.
Absolute marvel this build! Congrats, Marc!
Lovely work buddy, another super build!
