Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum Visit Post #2

Just too many photos to post and too many aircraft to see.

Showing my Dad the photos, upon see the photos of the George "Buzz" Beurling dedication my Dad insists he witnessed Beurlings Spitfire in the sky above Malta when he was a kid - he was around 10 yrs old at the time. Now the ol' man wants to go down for a visit to see things for himself.

Nice to see the Lysander project, the Nene-10 engine cutaway.

Remarkable just how small the Vampire is and then see the sheer size of the Avenger.

Great visit - and the museum is always looking for volunteers to help keep thing neat and in order, hmmmmmm.

  1. So much to see, definitely worth a visit.
    Really like the F5.
    Have seen a flying Lysander in Duxford last year, it is a remarkable plane.
    It was bigger in real than I expected.

  6. What I like about this museum is that several of the planes are still in flyable condition. It is definitely an enjoyable museum to visit for a few hours.
