A lot of fun!
This is a wonderful build, Bogdan!
The Hobbyboss kit looks good. Makes it a very attractive kit to buy and build, far easier than the previous LTD, I suppose.
Paint scheme is absolutely striking; I cannot recall ever seeing it before.
Makes me wanting to know more about the Escadrila de Experiențe and their works.
Again, a masterpiece! Congratulations!
It's much better than the LTD kit. Much better.
Escadrile de Experiențe was a test squadron meant to make trials aimed at testing the improvements and modifications suggested by pilots.
The b/w photo was taken still in factory alongside other aircraft awaiting completion.
Thanks for your kind words.
Thanks again for infos, Bogdan.
Nicely done!
🙂 … Greetings … 🙂 :
Very nice job on this rare plane Bogdan, nice, clean and sharp.
Very good build, Bogdan. @bogdan_ionete
Rigging, weathering, paint job, all comes out very nice.
Just one question, did you use .03 rigging (as mentioned in your writing) or the .02 as shown in the image?
. 03.
I keep them both in the same box, the .02 one. ?
Thanks,
Definitely need to get some of it, looks great.
Terrific model. I didn't really know much about this plane until recently when I was doing some reading on the B-24 raid on Ploesti. The Romanians attacked the B-24s with this plane & Me109s. The paint scheme on your model is not only unusual, but very well executed.
Thank you all!
Well done Bogdan, colorful paint job as well. This aircraft reminds me so much of Howard Hughes H-1 Racer. Just looks like its built for speed.
Yes, it looks like the Hughes one.
Exquisite build! This aircraft is one of the coolest looking of the period, as is the case with some rarer, lesser known fighters (Dewoitine, Macchi 202/205 etc).
beautiful build, and I love that scheme! Well done.
