End of War...1/48 Focke-Wulf Fw190D-9, I./EKG(J) or V./EJG 2
Built over 6 years ago. Eduard kit oob, except sliding canopy from Tamiya, Gunze and Tamiya paints used, EZ line for antenna wire.
Aircraft was captured by US troops in May 1945 at Pilsen airfield in Czechoslovakia. The little stylized "17" on the fuselage sides at cockpit height were most probably applied after capture.
Although it was an early style canopy, this one hadn´t a pulley system for the wire (for easier production), so it should have some slack, not tensioned as my dad displayed it.
Another Spteitzhofer magical offer, Reinhard!
Great looking Dora, Reinhard.
I love the mixed camo schemes seen on many of the late Luftwaffe fighters. Good job on the engine accessories visible through the wheel wells, many modelers don't bother with that.
Gorgeous colours you have got there!
Superb paintwork.
Looks great!
