Aviattic lozenge on wings...with WNW mix for varnish to reduce their value ( shame!)
Gaspatch 1:48 turnbuckles, Bob's Buckles tubing and eyelets
Model Kasten and Infini line
Prop...oils over acrylics
Decided against decals for tail and fuselage. Masked and sprayed with more muted colours inc the blue.
Fuselage: oils streaked over XF-60
WOW again. That is sumpthin' else for sure, another WW1 masterwork. That deep red color is really eyecatching. Perfect streaking too. Great work, good looking aircraft, hard to beat.
Just the propellor is outstanding. Been trying to get that level of sharpness between dark and light wood maintaining that subtle graining yours faithfully reproduces...
Museum quality or better is what I see in your DVII. So 1/48 turnbuckles hein? Guess those in 1/32 are a bit oversized right?
They look better here than the 1:32
Old photos show very slim turnbuckles
Beautiful!
Museum piece
Great work, David.
Every bit on this build looks beautiful.
That prop looks like carved wood. Excellent work on everything leading to a beautiful result.
Exellent allover, David!
