1:50 Scale Truck Dock/Bay Diorama – Final Photos
I am closing in on the finishing of this build. I have some details to add here and there. Then I will be figuring out how to add lights. That is another heap to jump over. But I will give it a try. The wall at the left of the dock was not really my idea; but the client wanted it there. I personally won't have incorporated it there, because of the depth of field transition from the dock. I think it blocks off and enclose the area a little bit too much. But every view is different, so the client gets his wish. ๐ So these will be the final photos concluding this build. Thanks for watching and giving your support. God bless!
That looks terrific Charles! Your client will surely be delighted by it! ๐
Thank you kindly.
Really amazing, Charles @tiking
You still want to add some more details? To me this build contains already a huge amount of details.
Even how the shingles on the roof look like and their typical darker edges due to moisture do remember me of the time when I had them on my roof, very realistic.
Great work.
You noticed that John. Nice that you did. Thanks a lot for your detail observation. ๐
The more one looks the more amazing details he discovers, my friend Charles!
Very realistic job!
Thank you Spiros
Whoa! Those close shots of the trucks at the loading dock looked absolutely real! Which demonstrates just how excellent your work is here.
Very kind words Tom. Thank you.
Realistic? I can hear the brakes hissing and back up alarm beeping... so, yeah, realistic.
Your work is always top notch, Charles.
Thanks Gary.
Or some one shouting 'Mon back, oh right I've used that already. Super build, Charles!
HAHA! Thanks Robert.
Great details, Charles, and I think Iโm with you about the wall, although it may be useful for reflecting light in some photographs your client has in mind.
Thank you George. You're not the only one who agrees about it. Glad to know others are also on-board. ๐
Wow, that is outstanding! A fantastic back drop for 1/25 trucks & trailers, but that would have been mahoosive! I imagine the 1/50 was more manageable.
Yes. it would have been awesome in 1/25 scale. but like you wooood, it would have been massive. ๐ It was a manageable scale to work with, which I'm glad, 'cause, I won't have enough space to do it in 1/24 scale. ๐
One missing feature is the uneven, patched up pavement caused by heavily loaded trucks assuming the client might want that or if it is possible.
Well done!
Hi Dan. Yeah, that would have been nice. I did think of it but decided not to incorporate into the dio. Although I added a steel covering just in front of the bays to indicate a construction dig that has been temporarily covered to prevent trucks from falling in. Seen it done before.
I am in awe of your work on this diorama, Charles (@tiking). It is really hard to tell these photos aren't from something 1:1: scale. Well done.
Thank you kindly George. ๐
Thatโs really great, Charles. Fooled me for 1:1 scale.
Absolutely fabulous @tiking love it!
Glad it appeals to you Michel. Thank you.
Sure looks like the real thing to me. Awesome job!
Thank you Greg.
