Oldies but Goodies
Here are some of my builds from 2013-15 era before we left Louisiana and moved to Minnesota. Sadly none of these build made it on the trek North and were either sold or given away. The kits pictured are as I recall:
1/350 Hobbyboss USS Arizona with Big Ed detail set, wooden deck, metal barrels and lots of scratch build details
1/350 Tamiya USS Missouri with Big Ed photo etch set + metal barrels
1/700 Dragon Bismarck
1/48 ICM P-51 MK III (?)
1/48 Revell F-84G Thunderjet
1/48 Revell A-10 Warthog
During this time I mostly did 1/350 ships, some of which are not pictured here, if I can track down the pictures of the others I will post them. Due to time and space constraints I mostly do aircraft now but have been thinking about maybe taking on a ship this summer. Who knows!?! Hope you enjoy some of this earlier work, apologies for the poor pictures!
Happy Modeling

Excellent builds, David @dbutlr
At least you have some great pictures to remember them.
Great work, David! Your PE work is outstanding.
It’s a shame they all couldn’t make the move. I had to thin my herd a bit too when we moved from Illinois to Alabama. In fact I still have a chunk of the unbuilt stash in my son’s basement up there that needs to be disposed of.
Wow! Lovely work. Hopefully these are the gracing the shelves of other builders/collectors somewhere.
All are excellent, David! Yes! Please build a ship this summer! We like! We like!
Deck looks great! Also Polish Mustang Mk.III!
I’m sure these builds bring back some great memories for you, David, sadly, I’ve lost and forgotten all of my old builds.
Nice work !
