U.S. M3A1 White Scout Car (1/100)

Another "quicktime" project.
And once again, building the base took much more time than the model itself😄

I really like the scout car and halftracks because of their shape and design.
Nothing special but quite striking.
Due the individual panels and straight surfaces it´s a nice task to paint this vehicle.

I didn't do any exciting weathering, only used some color modulation, pin-washing and dry-brushing techniques.
Build it directly out of box, except two improvements.
Added the curved towing horns on the front bumper and separated the space between the headlights and the headlight guard with a fine saw.

For the cobblestone pavement i´ve used ready- to- use mat and the wall segment is made of 1mm Tamiya foam sheet.
The Madonna on the backside is a 3D printed part.

  1. I had a friend of mine who had one of these 40 years ago that he restored. Even here in L.A., car capital of the planet, you can get some pretty strange looks driving something like this down Sunset Boulevard. 🙂

Nice work on this - the canvas top looks great.

  2. Looks fantastic, as usual fooling tge scale, Simon !
    Well done!

  3. Excellent result, Simon @s-nagorsnik
Also the 3D printed Madonna is a very nice addition to this diorama.

  4. Non-tracked military vehicles have a certain attraction, great work again on this mini diorama.
