Eduard 1/48 Tempest V

May 7, 2023 · in Aviation · · 24 · 457

Although not 's finest model, it is still the best model in the market. Quite a few areas require filling the seams and re-scribing the fine panel lines. Nonetheless, the model is well detailed and captures the characteristic Hawker lines. I found that the silver finish adds realism to the model.

  7. All very very nice models Rafi! The silver finish does look terrific on all Tempest versions, but that one with the stripes yellow/black is exquisite.
I’ve an almost completed Eduard Tempest II in the bench and it builds without vices…I guess they acknowledged feedback like yours

  8. Thank you Pedro.
Indeed, the Tempest II is much better engineered. Engine cowling and wings are different molds since the structure of the aircraft was different (and not because of critics, I believe.)

  9. The finish and weathering on these models is simply outstanding. It just goes to show that even a kit with some issues can be an outstanding model. Thank you for sharing them!
