1:48 Hasegawa B5N2 Kate
This B5N2 Kate is part of a 3 model kit that Hasegawa released a few years ago. The other two planes are an A6M2 Zero and an D3A1 Val. The 3 planes all took part in the initial attack on Pearl Harbor, and were launched off Imperial Japanese Carriers.
To stay with the theme; I decided to build a 1:48 replica of the IJN carrier Hiryu. I chose to build a 1/4th section of the carrier as it should be ample room (24”x36”) to get some photographs of all 3 planes together once they're all finished.
This was the first time I utilized photoshops function to replace the background in favor of some real images and really enjoy how the photos turned out. I also just started using a 105mm macro lens.
Overall, I am satisfied with the kit and am excited to start the next two planes.
Excellent job, Keith!
Thank you @fiveten

Thank you @rosachsenhofer. Your builds were some of my inspiration to tackle the IJN planes.
I feel honoured - that makes me happy!
Nice work on this. That's an excellent kit, and you have gotten the most out of what was there with this really nice result.
Thank you @tcinla
Very cool, I like it!
Thanks @chasbunch
Very nice
Thanks Rob @robertandy
Beautifully done, both the model and the photographs, looking forward to seeing all three planes together. Makes you wonder how many trees were cut down to make decks for all these aircraft carriers though.
Thanks George @chinesegeorge. Probably best we don’t know how many trees were used haha

Wow! 🤩 Great scale modeling in an excellent article, Keith @greenterrorz! 👍
I appreciate it Gary! @garybrantley
Keith, Excellent work on this. I always a have bit of admiration for a well-done model I failed at (my Hasegawa Kate didn't survive a direct hit with the floor, big oops !).
I really like your realistic paint and weathering work, and the very attractive scheme !
Thanks Terry. I have seen some of your builds and have no doubt you could do the Kate justice! @shoobiz
Excellent build and a beautiful scheme. Looks fantastic!
Top notch work!
Cheers,
