I keep saying I'm not a jet guy, except for the early stuff, but then I see this! Ok nothing more modern that the Tomcat, that's where I draw the line! Now I want to build an F-14. What are you doing to me Rafi?😅 Seriously though, beautiful job as always. The Jolly Rogers scheme is probably my favorite of all the F-14 lives, except for maybe the Black Bunny scheme.
Rafi, never thought the low viz VF-84 markings would look cool but they do on your build. Wish I could make my Victory 200 look a bit more weathered but am always afraid of truly messing things up. Just noticed the fuel tanks still retain the full color yellow/black sashes. Nice.

Thank you David.
There are quite a few "safe" weathering techniques that do not affect the base paint and that you can "erase" the effects if you are not pleased with the results.
Excellent Tomcat. I find myself warming up to these modern jets more as time goes by. But the Tomcat is one of those that lends itself really well to a weathered finish. You've done a great job Rafi (@blackmopane).
Nice build Ravi.
Built the Hasegawa F-14A “Atlantic” version when it came out late 80’s and yeah, there were some very “special” fit “challenges” even back then. Built mine up on a commission build for a friend whose very close friend flew F-14’s for VF-111.
Another awesome job and a truly excellent result, Rafi! Love that weathering!
Thank you Spiros!
Sweet looking feline! Nice job
Thank you Gary!
Awesome. I hope my F-15E comes out as nice as this one.
Thank you David!
Stunning build!
Thank you Keith!
Very nice build of a deceptively tough kit.
Thank you Dan.
Deception is the key word.

Nicely presented Tomcat, Rafi.
Thank you George.

Come to the jet side... 😉
A quick look through of the F-14 and Tomcat tags turns up plenty of us like the VF-84 scheme. Perhaps we should tag all the VF-84 birds.
Thank you David.

A beautiful looking Tomcat, Rafi @blacmopane
What not to like on this build, painting, weathering, detailing, all looks perfect.
Thank you John!
Great build Rafi. Super job on the weathering 👍
Thank you Guy.

We don’t see many of these built, Rafi. Well done! You really nailed the weathering on that overall gloss gull gray scheme.
Thank you kindly John.
a great-looking Tomcat Rafi! You posted some incredible work this year.
Thank you Greg!
That’s impressive Rafi (@blackmopane). I love it. Great work.
Thank you Scott.
