Eduard 1/48 Spitfire Vc Malta Defender
Just finished this Eduard 1/48 Spitfire Vc based on Malta in 1942. The markings are from the Eduard Malta dual kit are represent a bird from 601 Squadron and flown by Malta ace Denis Barnham. Only additions were an Eduard Look instrument panel and seat harnesses with a pilot from Hecker & Goros.
That's a beautiful rendition of a Malta Spitfire, Kevin @chenango55
Your first headline article is a great one.
Well done.
Thanks very much for the kind comment John as it is most appreciated. Comments like that mean more to me than getting any award for it at a show.
That’s really nice. Welcome, Kevin!
Thanks John!
Bat Boy! That's a pretty Spitty, lotsa guns. Bringing it to Noreastcon (Freeport), right?
Hi Willy, Yes I will bring it to Noreastcon with some other models I finished this year.
Will your club have a club table at the show?
Also, when you built the HC 1/32 P-51A did you use the Vector interior?
Cheers,
Kevin
No mon, Outta da Box. Don't know about club tables. Congrats on your first article. post up sum more of your stuff.
I plan to post some more pics of recent builds and some older ones in the next few days.
I have always liked the 4 cannon Spitfires
Excellent job, Kevin, looks awesome!
Congratulations on your first article!
Thanks guys for all of your kind comments!
Excellent work, Kevin!
The mini diorama makes it very lively.
Look forward to seeing more of your work. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Alfred and I had the pilot sitting around for years so I am glad I find a place for him. Now I want to try and build my other 10 or so Eduard Spit Vs in different Malta markings.
Beauty job, Kevin!
My Dad gives your Maltese Spitfire a little 'cheers' with his coffee cup.
Pops was born in Malta in '33 and lived between the Luqa and Hal Far Airfields.

Thanks George and I imagine he must have some great stories about what it was like there during the seige.
Well done - the figure looks great.
Thanks Chas!
That is a lovely Spit - that scheme is really nice - well done!
