Revell 1/144 Type VIIc U-boat, U-96, the 'laughing sawfish'.

March 6, 2024 · in Ships · · 7 · 350

This is Revell's original issue Type VIIc U-boat in 1/144. I replaced the ladders and tower handrails with brass wire, thinned the kit winter garden and hull handrails, detailed the guns, and removed the round sockets that were molded on for the winter garden rails. Antennae insulators made with 5 minute epoxy mixed with pastel chalk.

Thanks for looking,

Colin

  6. Top notch submarines, Colin.

  7. Very nice build. I like that you change the stand from the original in plastic to wood. I do the same with my unfinished boats to.
