Chalkis 21st Club Contest

April 5, 2024 · in Show Reports · · 34 · 202

Our 21st club contest took place on 30 and 31 March in my hometown, , Greece. We are a small modelling club of a small town, but, still, we manage to hold our annual show with many beautiful models from all over Greece and abroad. As every year, we had a good of kits offered as prize draws and also had the support of revive groups and presence of restored military and classic vehicles This is the second year my youngsters (9 and 7yo) took place, earning a stunning two medals each!

Till next year!

Happy Modelling!

    Well done!

  4. Well done Spiros and boys, some interesting models, thanks for posting.

  5. It looks like a really fun show. I love the Citroens with the vintage picnic basket.

  6. Nice show Spiros and congratulations to your sons for their awards.

  7. Looks like everyone had a good time, Spiros, a special “well done” to your two boys.

  8. I have to say it is great to see what a show looks like from other places Spiros, @fiveten. Some very interesting and different builds. You may be a smaller town but there is a lot of talent in the area. I love when a model shows up that I also built. It was fun to see the captured Bf-109 that I built show up at contest in Greece. I alway enjoy seeing the way two different modelers interpret a build of the same subject.

  9. So nice to see your two sons following in their father's footsteps. Thanks for sharing those pictures with us. @fiveten

  10. A professional looking contest, Spiros @fiveten
I'm glad to hear that it was successful and you even had 1:1 scale vehicles as well.
How wonderful that your boys earned a well deserved medal. How about yourself 😉

  11. Thanks for sharing, lots of impressive subjects.

  12. Thanks for sharing the great work of all of these modellers! I love seeing the variety of work people bring to shows and it is awesome to see what a show in your country looks like.

  13. Looks like modeling in Greece is alive and well. Seeing your sons doing their best with all of those adult children wanting to touch models . . .
Thank you for sharing and showing all the good things about Greek modeling Spiros.

  14. You certainly had a great turnout of beautiful models. The dioramas look especially killer and out of the box imaginative. Love the dream bedroom and the cappuccino cup. I see your boys had their own medal winning table. I wish I could get my 9 yr old grandson back interested in building stuff but once he discovered Minecraft, the idea of physically putting parts together went right out the window, Spiros @fiveten. Darn that “Mr. Beast”, if you know who he is.

  15. Congratulations to you and your sons! I hope that everyone who put in the work to produced the show found it worthwhile. If I were in the neighborhood, (such as in the eastern Mediterranean) I would have attended.

  16. Excellent entries into this competition, Spiros. It seems to have gone very well, but... methinks dad has competition brewing from his youngsters! Always good to start them young, and hopefully they will always have an interest in modelling. Well done and congratulations to your boys for winning their medals... ;-).

  17. Great work on display - my fav is the Ghost Phantom... Congrats to the two young modelers!
