1/35 Tamiya Wespe
Taniya's 1/35 Wespe “Italian front” kit. The Wespe was a Pz.Kpfw.II chassis-based howitzer with a production run of 676. My Wespe depicts a Panzergrenadier Division Großdeutschland Vehicle in Russia during summer. Painted with Tamiya and Vallejo acrylics. Weathered with AK products. Stowage is from Value Gear. Extra vehicle decals are from Passion Models. Figure insignia is a mix of paint (button hole IC2 ribbon, epaulettes) and decals (collar litzen, breast eagle, helmet shield, cuff band). All questions, comments and criticisms welcome, and yes, I got a great deal because the box was damaged.
Beautiful result, John @atjoe
Also nice figure painting.
Thanks.
Very fine detail. Especially the interior. I’m envious
Thanks. It’s a good kit for interior work because the sides and howitzer are all sub assemblies.
Excellent job and really nice result, John!
Thanks. First all yellow vehicle in a long time. Tried to get some different shades using the airbrush, pigments and filters.
Great build John! I thought you had used aftermarket tracks but then realized that the more recent Tamiya kits with link & length tracks now have sag below the front and rear sprockets.
They go together easily but are just a bit short. Knowing that, it’s a good idea to not fully seat the links that are not easily seen, otherwise the last piece will leave @ 1/4 of a link gap.
