Kinetic 1/48 Kfir C2
Early Kfir C2 aircraft had fences on the air intakes and nose. These fences greatly improved the aircraft maneuverability and slow speed control. Later development introduced the full canard surfaces that became the recognition characteristic of the Kfir.
Although Kinetic's Kfir mold pose a building challenge, the final result is true to the origin.
Excellent job on the idiosyncratic Kinetic kit, Rafi!
Superb painting and weathering!
Thank you Spiros!
A very nice result, Rafi @blackmopane
That cockpit is beautifully detailed.
Do you know if the large triangle, was that used for recognition or just a squadron marking.
Thank you, John.
The yellow triangles were used in some IDF fighter aircraft types from the 1973 War to facilitate fast recognition. The triangles were phased out during the late '70s.
Very nice paintwork on this.
Thank you, Tom.
Great Kfir!
Thank you, Michel.
Beautiful paintwork! Love the IDF desert camo schemes.
Thank you, Greg!
Looks great, Rafi. Sounds like AMK is the way to go for Kfirs.
Thank you, John.
Indeed, AMK's Kfir offers a better building experience, but is too costly if the intention is to build several of the kind.
Gorgeous, gorgeous weathering.
Thank you, Felix.
Excellent Kfir. Still kind of beating a dead horse, but I wish Kinetic made the join for the intakes better. Would have saved me and other modelers who built this kit a lot of grief.
Thank you Dan.
I start the build with the attachment of intake parts to the fuselage halves. In this way, it is easy to achieve a very good result.
Great work Rafi, whose paints did you use?
Thank you, Ian.
I do my own paint mix. I usually use Tamiya's enamel XF range because they allow a subtle change in hues.
Israeli jets never get old! Great stuff
Thank you, Neill.
