Birdcage Corsair. 1/72 Hasegawa
I always wanted a F4U1 as a birdcage but, few years ago, the only kit available was the old but still good Hasegawa. I had just to rescribe it.
For now, I'm considering that I have been very strong and too far with the weathering...
Very Soon, I will show you it big brother, the Quarter Scale Tamiya kit with the same scheme 😉
When we love...
Enjoy and have a great and sunny sunday
Emmanuel
Very nice. Love the birdcage. Great weathering. 🙂
I don't think that's at all over-weathered. I've seen photos of models posted (and REAL aircraft as well), that make this one look factory fresh.
If there were a way to post pictures in this reply format, I'd show ya.
(..you listening, Martin..)? 🙂
Good looking "whistling death"...I don't think your weathering is too overdone.
A SUPERB Corsair Emmanuel. I like the weathering very much!
Looks like it's been on the 'canal for a while. Just enough weathering, my 02 cents worth.
Well done!
Looking forward to your 1/48th.
Done a nice job there Emmanuel.
A well used bird.
The weathering looks ok from here, and your modelling skills are very evident, this is brilliant in 1/72.
I like it, including the weathering. Pacific birds seemed to take more of a beating, so works for me! Did you paint on the silver chipping, use salt technique, or something else?
Nice to see another build from you. Looks great with a well done weathering.
Emmanuel,
Nice job. Love your Corsair
