Supermarine Spitfire Mk 5c, A58-248, 85 Sqn RAAF Pearce WA 1944.
1/72 Smer, my first Spitfire, I corrected the under wing shape and modified a few other things, finished in MM enamels with Aussie decals, flown by Sqn Ldr Ken "Skeeter" James in defence of Pearth WA.
Nice. We don't see many Smer kits here. I don't know how this compares to the Airfix kit in this scale, but the panel lines look better, although the aft rudder looks a little chunky in comparison. I think you've pushed this kit about as far as it can go!

Rob, the thing is that there have always been many good kits of the Mk. Vb (which served in Britain) but relatively few mainstream kits of the Mk. VC, the variant that served overseas, also in Australia and had a quite different wing. This goes also for the newest Airfix kits...

Nice Allan! Very clean finish, and there's something about those redless roundels that I really like (I've GOT to get around to building something with them...). I've built one SMER kit - an IL-2, and I seem to remember it going together decently. Some missing detail that I had to supply, but overall look and details were good.
