After being away from the modellers scene for more than 35 years, I restarted this hobby in 2018.
A gift from a friend made me enthiousiastic again.
It really surprised me about the improvements that have been made in all these years regarding the quality of the kits and the techniques and materials available to create realistics looking models.
Mainly into building 1/48 WWII planes.
Greetings to all.
Herewith I'm presenting my first ever bi-plane.
Not sure why I finally made the decision to start this build, because I'm not into building bi-planes at all, yet.
But for some reason it did attract me although it is certainly n[...]
During my recent long weekend in the province of Zeeland, Netherlands, I was pleasantly surprised by the numerous bunkers of the second world war which were still present. I did now that in the Netherlands we still had quite some bunkers present[...]
The 110's from the Wespen geschwader are one of my favorite German aircraft, unfortunately I never did build one, till now.
This kit is the Eduard 8203 from 2007 in 1/48 scale. It does include a lot of extra PE parts which are very detailed.
Presenting my first build of 2021.
The well known Tamiya P38 Lightning.
It has been presented here multiple times and a lot has been said about it, mainly positive.
I can only say that all is true, the kit has a perfect fit and it is[...]
This is my build of the Petlyakov Pe-2 M82 from HiPM (Historic Plastic Models) in 1/48 scale.

Hope you are all doing fine.
My next submission is a 1/48 Boulton Paul Defiant from Airfix.
A remarkable plane which was eventually not that successful in combat.
The build itself was pretty straight forwarded.
No real issues, but this [...]
Finally I finished another model, I'm just not such a quick builder mainly caused by lack of time.
This build is the Curtiss Tomahawk Mk.II from Airfix (A05133) and represents the No. 112 squadron of the RAF in Libya 1941.
Usually I bui[...]

The model represents the North American P-51D flown by Major George Earl Preddy Jr., 328th Fighter Squadron, 352nd Fighter Group, USAF, Norfolk England on August 6th, 1944.
This time I present a model of which the sprues are even older than I am.
It is the Corsair F4U-4 (1/48) from Revell dated 1963.
The model represents a plane from VMF-214 Black Sheep squadron in July 1951.
Got this model from my daughter as a f[...]
Finally I finished the Fokker D.XXI
This is No. 221 flown by Tlt. Herman Doppenberg on May 10th, 1940.
He was able to down a Bf109E that morning.
The aircraft was destroyed on May 14th during an attack on Schiphol airfield.
Definitely not one[...]
