    Bugger...sorry I called you chap...apologies😬

I missed this so apologies. Yea it's quite a useful adhesive. Any shine on matt just give it a blast of matt clearcoat.

Cyano can be useful but I am slowly moving towards using alphatic, epoxy, or UV resins to fix anything that needs to be either tacked or moved and re positioned.

I like cyano gel or super hot (zap, water thin) for some jobs.

The bloody stuff can have an annoying habit of sticking when it shouldn't or not when it should😬

🤣 bloody right...never...ever throw anything away. Its the law👍
Joking aside I needed a tiny mandrel to Dutch turn some wheels for a frog hotspur. Enter tamiya bike screw and como drill. Bosh.

@gblair I was a watchmaker the tweezers are for making overcoil (Baguette) hairsprings. They are hard to find these days. I found a pair on ebay. …. $255.00. Yep two hundred fifty five bucks. I have a bunch of watchmaker tools and they all come in very handy …. And do do my skills as a watchmaker ;). They made 3 different sizes…these are the largest of the 3 i have lost the others over the years : /

Wow! Those are really pricey tools, Cricket (@bikequeen). I think I will just keep wrapping wire around a paint brush handle. You are a Renaissance woman, Cricket: watchmaker, fire supervisor, model builder, plus others you haven't shared yet..

@gblair aww geeesh…I ain’t all that. I’m certainly not a fire supervisor….LOL. I keep the books and ruin the pumps on the trucks at a fire….thats it. And trust me all these tools I have followed me around for decades…I’m just happy they have a rebirth so to speak :). Doing the models satisfies a need to work with precision stuff

Todays progress spent most of the day with PE parts, radiator, which had a lot of resin and PE parts…I think it came out well. I started the front forks (Tamiya’s Detail- Up set) I have the fuel tank, front fender front calipers etc etc ready to roll. tomorrow’s project will be the front rotors and then the completion of the front forks

I have the side cowlings to do and I’m kinda nervous about them as i will use the Tamiya Carbon Fiber decal sheet, Ive used it before it’s thin and stretchy but I haven’t used it on pieces this large, so we will see.

Also attached are photos of my newest acquisition 🙂 should be a fun winter project….not sure where to post it though

A horse drawn hearse, @bikequeen, Cricket, are you sure? I’m not sure which category it should be in, maybe we could start a Public Service Vehicles section, including fire engines, ambulances, and police cars? Meanwhile keep up the good work on the Yamaha.

Your PE looks really nice, Cricket (@bikequeen). I have a love/hate relationship with PE. I really like the way it looks when it is on the model, but I really hate dealing with it trying to get it on the model.
