@johnb. Thanks John, it looks good from that angle but not so hot up close and personal :(. A lot of bending to make it fit and I was scared it was going to break

First….i have been sending this to a lot of people, if you rather i didnt please let me know and I will stop

Here is todays progress i dont like thier coffin, I have seen tons of horror films over the years and none of them looked like that, so I modified it

    Theirs

Mine, plus theirs didnt have handles so I made some out of brass wires…not very ornate but it worked

Next were the wheels, the wheel itself is not the basswood like the rest of the kit, it’s almost like hig density cardboard and wasnt fun to work with. The first one I did was a disaster. I misread the instructions so I redid it and the others went a little smoother. Tons of sanding and more to come, i will let the glue set overnight (also picture is the sheet the spokes were cut out of….SIGH. Took most of the day to do the wheels still a long way to go

Also added the decorative sides on the coach

. Next will be the 5th wheel and all that fun stuff 🙂

This will be fairly large when it is done, Cricket (@bikequeen). Have you got some shelf space ready to go? I painted my first plastic model using my mom's red nail polish.

Man oh man , cricket @bikequeen ! That looks very nice so far. You might need to give up motorcycles for awhile and do a series of hearses. @hearsequeen ?

@gblair ina 3rd George Nope! LOL. I have zero room for any of these models but I keep cranking them out :). It’s 1/12th scale and about 12 inches long when done!

I have usd nail polish on cars, thin it with Lacquer thinner and shoot it on! Some interesting colors out there 🙂

That is a sporty looking hearse, Cricket @hearsequeen ( @bikequeen ). It would be a test of your scratch building skills.

I found a photo of another you might want to add to your collection. Not quite as sleek .

@bikequeen - This is looking great Cricket. Those wheels do look like they'd be a challenge to assemble. Harold and Maude is a classic!
