I grabbed one of these from Scott’s Model Workshop on eBay last month. It’s not something I expected to see due to current events. Anyways, I got a start at it today and am really pleased with the fit so far. It’s a well researched and beautifully molded kit of a deserving subject. The only negative that I can see so far is that the multi part canopy can’t be posed open. I’m going to see if I can use the sliding sections from a vac replacement designed for the AZ kit. Not sure if I’m going to use the kit’s RAAF decals or do an RAF 45 SQ. plane from India/Burma using decals from the AZ kit.

    Great entry, John @j-healy
You already made some great progress.
Looking forward to see if you can find a solution to have the canopy displayed open.

    Hey John, @j-healy
This is a kit that I have on the way too. However I am not too sure if I will ever get mine or not because I ordered it directly from the manufacturer in Kiev. Time will tell if it shows up or not.

I will definitely contact Scott and see if he will send one my way. Thanks for the heads up.

I am definitely going to be watching your progress and thanks for starting this build journal.

Lots of tiny photo etch in this one. Surprisingly it’s going together pretty quickly. The fit of the plastic parts is outstanding.

Looks like it lives up to Eugen's hopes. One on the list I never thought I would see a good injection kit of. A long long time ago, I built the old Frog kit.

Yes, they really produced a nice kit with this one, Tom. I’m going to test fit the canopy parts tommorow. They may fit open after all. Just need to figure out the right colors now. I built that Frog kit too. A long time ago.

Nice to see you’re doing this Vultee, John @j-Healy. Isn’t this your 3rd Dora Wings build? How are the piston rods on this one? Super fragile?

The PE does indeed add a lot already, especially the cockpit looks quite busy now.

Looks great, John (@j-healy). The Vengeance is one of those early war planes that looks really cool. I also have one of these sitting in the garage. My local hobby store has a section with kits from Ukrainian manufacturers, so I picked one up a while back. I am surprised they are still getting restocks for this section. Makes you want to buy the kits even more.

Eric, this is my second Dora kit after the P-43. I also did the AMG Hawker Hart. AMG may be affiliated with Dora. The piston rods are sturdy enough to remove from the sprue without damage. One head scratcher is the lack of a one piece wing spar. In its place, the front piece of each wheel well bulkhead extends a tiny bit into the slot in the fuselage. A third piece represents the spar in the bomb bay. Not a problem, but odd considering a one piece spar would’ve helped with wing attachments.

Looking good! The Vengence was one of my earliest builds when I got back into the hobby, and need to build another one now that I know what I'm doing (sort of)!

Sometimes engineering decisions of models can be a real surprise, John @j-healy.
