Just follow the instructions @johnb, and you will like the result. Glad you're doing this, it will inspire me to pull out mine and drag it over the finish line.

Looking forward to the rest of the build, John (@johnb). Your work looks great, even if the plane does have one too many wings.

@j-healy, Thanks and yes, until now it is a great kit to build. Sufficient details and space to add things. Fitting is great.

@1corsair64, The interior is indeed fun to do. Most of it will indeed not be visible afterwards, but I know it is there and it is used for getting more experience on detail building.

@fiveten, Thanks, it helps that quite a lot of scratch build experts are active here and I’m definitely using their examples.

@mvtb, @tcinla, thank you for those encouraging words, I will do my best to get you going on yours.

@gblair, new results coming up, this extra wing is also an unknown area to me.

Some part do contain a bit of flash, but this is quite easy to correct.

Finally found some time to get the control cables connected to the scratch build levers. Using a hand drill I created through holes for the cables towards the end of the fuselage. Cables are glued using CA.
Did some weathering on this interior part and sprayed satin varnish afterwards.

Next will be the side walls of the fuselage and close it up.

Adding the cables is a really nice touch even if it will be hard to see. It’s all looking great John.

Cables look great, John (@johnb). They don't seem like a big deal, but are very noticeable once you see them installed.

Thanks a lot for the compliments gentlemen, your kind words really gets me motivated.

Today just a small update before having a long weekend at the coast with my family.
I will for sure miss the modelling the next coming days.
Before packing, I was able to spent some time on the Walrus, I tried to create the machine gun guiding rails in the nose and back of the fuselage.

The amount of holes is, unfortunately, not matching reality, but the basic idea is there.
This time the scratchbuilding will be visible when all is done.

hey, family comes first but I know exactly what you mean, especially when you are on a roll as you are with this Walrus. No one will notice the dif in holes. Looks good enough to me.

I agree with all comments of our friend @eb801, my friend @johnb!
Yep, what counts is the representation of the perforated rail, and you did it darn well!
Looking forward to your progress, after enjoying your family weekend!

Great details - I'm a bit behind checking in on this build, so no harm done by spending a few days off-line 🙂

    Enjoy!
