Eduard's first release of the Tempest II (early). The "late" version just showed up on my porch this morning. Same plastic in both kits, a couple parts not used on the first used on the second.
This is being done as MW835, the boxart airplane, but under its previous ownership by Roland Beamont when he was fresh out of POW camp and assigned as wing leader of the first Tempest II "Tiger Force" wing, which would have gone to Okinawa in September 1945 had the Japanese not surrendered. Using the "R" and "B" decals from a Tempest V kit.
This is just such a great model kit. Other than using snippers to get the cockpit side framing off the sprue tree, there is no problem with anything in this kit.
