You mentioned that you got close to what you consider acceptable, well to me this is really an outstanding result.
    It looks just as real.
Hard to believe you were able to perform that in this size.
    My complements, Morne. @mornem

Thanks Spiros and John for the nice comments. It is a challenge working in small areas but thankfully tweezers replace my large fingers. Lol

Today was another frustrating scratchbuilding session where old Mr. Murphy came knocking applying his law to everything. The radar attachment point and structure that secures it to the fuselage took 5 attempts to get it right. This attachment interfered with the alignment of the radar to fit correctly inside the nose. Tomorrow I must start with the avionics bay.

Ah, good old Mr Murphy. A reliable fellow he is.

The most unwanted person, but always shows up for some reason.
Eventually you got it done, Morne.

After a frustrating day, full satisfaction, my friend @mornem, as it looks spectacular...
    AND avionics bay opened?!
Wow, what a departure from the ultrabasic/ultratoyish Hobbycraft offering...
    Looking amazing so far!

Thank you my friends for the encouragement and nice comments. Old Mr. Murphy is a menace for sure but in the end he gave up tormenting me. The avionics bay should be a straightforward build that should add some visual interest together with the radar.

Jets in plural or the Canuck in particular are not my usual modelling interest, but your home made work here is simply astonishing Morne

Thank you Pedro. This is one of those builds where I challenge myself to see how far I could stretch my scratchbuilding skills. Every small success is motivation for the next stage of the scratchbuilding journey.

Better be careful, or that journey will take you to rival Marc Barris for an entire scratch building project!

Thanks Greg for the vote of confidence in my scratchbuilding abilities. However, Marc is in class of his own. What he manages to do is light years beyond my capabilities. Lol

Today I have started scratchbuilding the avionics bay in the nose of the CF 100. This area is packed with all sorts of avionics and electronic gear. Working from a cutaway drawing I will attempt to super detail this area as much as possible. Evergreen styrene, copper wire, solder wire and Tamiya tape will be used for this part of the build.

Magic 50's era avionics bays, my friend @mornem!
    Love it!

    Fantastic, Morne.
Good that you always put a ruler next to it because it is hard to believe it is so tiny.
Looking forward to the super detailing.

I managed to finish the front part of the avionics bay. I am pleased with the results thus far. Only wires to add tomorrow. Thankfully Mr. Murphy did not come knocking today. Lol.
