Restarting (after two weeks idle time...)

Cockpit and ejection seats basic gray applied. The ejection seats are totally plain looking. some beefup will take place, especially at their top section, which is very visible, even if I am going to put pilots on them.
    Thanks for stopping by.

Curious to see what's going to happen next with the seats! Camo pattern is looking good.

Well - I was already staring at my two Buckeyes up in the top of my closet, wondering when in the 109 sequence I might want to pull these down and have a go! You keep whetting my appetite!

    Thanks, my friends @airbum, @eydugstr and @gkittinger!

Cockpit topsides will be painted matt black and the two nice kit instrument panel decals will be added. A scratch built gunsight, too! Together with the pilots and the improvements on the seats, things might look busy enough through the closed, but large (it's a trainer!) transparencies.

    Stay tuned!

Also curious about the looks of the seats, Spiros.
For sure you will make them look much more detailed.

    Thanks, my friend @johnb!

Here's how the ejection seat and pilots looks in reality:

I started by adding ejection handles form stretched sprue. Also, started to paint the pilots:

I also painted the cockpit instrument panels, side consoles and "anti glare" areas (ie all topsides) black:

Black were also painted the blant shallow ends of air intakes, in order to provide an illusion of depth:

Look alive or I'll cut your head off - its hard conditions for your crew my friend, but it works 🙂

Yep, zero tolerance on the lookalive drill, my friend @airbum!
A bit of painting here and there, maybe a bit of beefing up the headrests and my pilots in their cockpit might present a busy-looking image...

Didn't know modelling could be that cruel, Spiros @fiveten
Luckely they look very much alive right now.
