This kit depicts a Spitfire Mk VIII of 2 Sqd Desert Airforce. Deployed as fighter/ground attack during the Battle of El Alamein.
Kit was a MkIX and was converted into a Mk VIII by modifying the rudder and changing the Vokes filter.
