My old eyes

February 7, 2016 in Uncategorized

I shared with you guys about my eyes being really hosed up and this past Friday I had strabismus surgery on my right eye. I cant see how little kids can get this surgery and bounce right back. This involves cutting some muscle tissue on the side of the eye so the eye is mostly straight.
It’s sort of painful the first day out of surgery and after that it feels as if you have a welding arc burn. It has been two days now and it is feeling better but I still have a bit of a goopy feeling with some small headaches that I am sure will be gone in a couple of days.

I will no longer have to wear the 3/4 inch thick glasses and after I get a new script I should be good as new.
These small minimally invasive surgeries on geezers my age is hard to recover from. Not like I was in my 40’s.

Now back to modeling tomorrow.

  10. Hope you get a full recovery, Paul, having eye surgery takes some courage.

  11. Paul,
You will do fine. Geezers rule……..

  12. I would like to thank everyone for their well wishes concerning my eyes. I had my surgery this Friday past and today I went in for my post op. The eyes are way better and still getting stronger. The Dr. said that in about 3 to six months I would notice a big change and not to get any new glasses until then.

So in light of that news I have purchased the Hobby boss 1/32 P-61B and the Hobby Boss 1/48 A-6E TRAM Intruder. I’ll be starting the Widow tomorrow.

  13. Paul, wonderful news, congratulations on the successful outcome.
That Intruder is a stunning kit, I’ve got the -A. Lotsa options, looking forward to seeing her done.
