Revell Hawker Hunter F.MK.6

December 16, 2012 · in Aviation · · 2 · 2.9K

This has got to be one of the all time classic's of fighters of the 50's and is right up there with the F-86 in the looks dept. Once I saw the kit sitting on the shelves of my local hobby store it got adopted and brought home. The paint scheme is interesting and complex and it took awhile for this modeler to get it presentable ...

Hunters are hard to photograph and I had a devil of time photographing this kit. Canary Yellow is hard to weather and doing the panel lines was a tough call I left them as is. This little kit did inspire me to buy its older brother in 1/32nd and I believe pretty much scaled down the plans of the larger model to fit the smaller scale.

  1. Nice Hunter Stephen. This kit is one of those Revell sleepers that you only see built up once in a while. Great jumping-off point for all sorts of Hunter derivatives though. Thanks for posting!

  2. One of the few a/c types that I've yet to build. Someday. Nice job.
