Monogram 1/48 B-26 Marauder….City of Sherman

February 17, 2013 · in Aviation · · 4 · 2.1K

This aircraft depicts "City of Sherman" Piloted by Lt. Paul H. Phillips of Sherman Texas, my home town. "City of Sherman" was with the 323BG/456BS. The kit was built straight from the box except True Detail wheels and custom made decals from an ALPS printer (thanks Barney Kable). The Tail numbers came from a Aeromaster sheet. This one is no longer at my house...I donated it to the Perrin AFB museum in Denison, which is just about 3 or 4 miles from my house...Its Grayson Co Airport now but use to be Perrin AFB...my father was stationed there twice in his career...When he was there the first time they were flying F-86L aircraft then the next tour was with F-102's...

  1. that's a beauty

  2. That's a really well done model, clean and neat. We go to Sherman, Tx occasionally to visit our grandson and his family living there. He is a deputy sheriff in Grayson County. I will try to visit that museum next visit.

  3. Nice Build. I try to stop by the museum on my way back home every chance I get. Don't you have other acft donated there?

  4. Not yet...I have an F-102 with Perrin markings in the works and also an F-86L. I also need to get a T-33. when I build those I will most likely donate them as well.
