USMC FG-1D, of MCVG-4, 1945
This aircraft was flown by LtCol Donald K.Yost USMC. Commanding officer of MCVG-4 in the Okinawa area aboard USS Cape Gloucester CVE-109, Yost is credited with 8 victories. He retired from USMC in 1959 as a BGen.
This model was made out of the box except for the decals. They are BarracudaCals which is a great Corsair sheet.

Frank .. the ol' gull wing IS a piece of art .. the F4U's we had at Olathe,Ks NAS in the 50's was an experience one don't forget, from the sounds, to the was it looked from the flight line, of VMF-215 ..later RBH
