iModeler July Awards

August 7, 2013 · in Uncategorized · · 9 · 1.4K

It's high time to announce our iModeler awards for July. These were selected by the editorial jury among the exactly one hundred new articles added during the month, which prompted a total of 835 readers' comments.

As usual, we're awarding the iModeler Best in Show title to the entry that wins the jury's prize, but also list runner-ups as Honorable Mentions. We think that all are great modeling accomplishments that deserve recognition.

iModeler Best in Show - July 2013

Topping the jury's list this month is George Williams' ( @chinesegeorge ) immaculate 1/12 scale D'Antin Pramac Ducati GP4 motorcycle. Perfectly executed and beautifully photographed, it shows this unique and intangible quality where the images of the model could easily be mistaken for showing the real thing. It can be argued that creating an illusion of reality is the ultimate attribute of all great modeling. We think so, and it wins this bike our Best in Show award in July.

But wait, there is more!

We are also awarding a prize as a token of appreciation to all our contributors. This is selected through an entirely random draw among all the entries of the month. This time, our lucky winner is Tom Cleaver ( @tcinla ) with his presentation of Four ICM Spitfires, one of the entire series of interesting articles provided by Tom every month. Tom's entire blog is available at http://imodeler.com/tcinla/.

Thank you for making iModeler such a readable resource.
