Trumpeter 1/144th IIyushin A-50 Mainstay
Small scale model of a big aircraft. When it comes to Soviet aircraft, mine are usually 1/72, with a few in 1/48th, and only "fighters". OK, an occasional II-28. When I had the opportunity to pick up 3 big Russian aircraft at a bargain price, I ended up with this, an IIushin IL-78 Midas, and a 1/100th Antonov An-12BK Cub. They all sit next to my Revell Ekranoplan A-90 Orljonok , which I think is 1/144th also. No major build problems, and even in that small scale, look impressive...

Are you taking your pix with a cellphone? I ask because it's hard to see detail - if you are you might want to run the pictures through "sharpen" in your graphics program. It's an interesting airplane and I'd like to see more. What I can see, it looks good.

Sorry for the quality of the pictures, guys. No excuses. I am a lousy photographer. My computer skills are in the same category.

Another unusual model from you, Joe, you obviously like these things. As for the photography, keep it as simple as possible. Taking pictures of large models like these isn;t easy, maybe that's why I'm sticking to motor bikes at the moment!
