Tamiya 1/32 F4U-1 Corsair.....oh no, not another one.....
Here's my completed Tamiya Corsair. Tamiya paint, oil washes and weathering. Not much more can be said about this kit. It's awesome. Goes together like a dream. It's perfect.
The base is from Just Plane Stuff and painted with a mix of tamiya acrylics and Alclad. Oil washes help pop the details.
The Mototug is from the Trumpeter F6F Hellcat kit. It's an almost identical scaled up copy of Tamiya's 1/48 version.
The figure is from the Corsair kit.
Outstanding! Never tire of looking at great work! Looks fantastic
Did you say, "...it's perfect..." ? You mean to tell me that FINALLY - after all these naysayers proclaiming there's no such thing, that this is IT...? Now I definitely have to have one (I'll show ya just how to mess up a 'perfect kit') - lol. I know you Jeff, and for you to say there's absolutely NOTHING "wrong" with this kit is...well...truly eye-opening. But from all of what I've seen and heard since it's debut, I tend to agree with you. Besides that, it LOOKS perfect. Nice work, sir.
Jeff, there can never be too many Corsairs or Saber jets on these pages, especially if they're beauties like yours. I especially like the Pettibone tug tractor and flight deck, nice touches...
Beautifully made and nicely displayed. I have heard very good reviews as well. It is outside of my present abilities but great to see a well made example. Glad that you enjoyed the kit.
Nothing here is "..outside your abilities...", Alan. Don't be afraid to take those initial steps and build whatever tickles your fancy.
Jeff,
Whada ya mean "Oh no! Not another one" I agree with the other comments, you never can see too many Corsairs. Yours is a joy to behold. I absolutely love it.
Jeff, you can tell from the finished project the degree of control you've exercised in the build; great job.
Nice.
Fantastic work.
Excellent finish and attention to detail on this, Jeff, and your photography really helps to bring it to life.
Beauty! As a living!
Best regards, Vlad.
Very, Very nicely built and painted. I'm also of the opinion that you can never see too many Corsairs...One could imagine that the Japanese pilots of WWII would have had another opinion!
Totally amazing build Jeff, you have done yourself proud there.
man that's beautiful...the base too
I hope mine turns out half as nice...
